Last week’s Scripture:
Matthew 22:36-39
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ’Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Memory Verses for 2011/2012:
James 3:7-10 - Men can make all kinds of animals and birds and fish and snakes do what they want them to do. But no man can make his tongue say what he wants it to say. It is sinful and does not rest. It is full of poison that kills. With our tongue we give thanks to our Father in heaven. And with our tongue we speak bad words against men who are made like God. Giving thanks and speaking bad words come from the same mouth. My Christian brothers, this is not right!
Psalm 119:15-16 - I will think about Your Law and have respect for Your ways. I will be glad in Your Law. I will not forget Your Word.
Psalm 145:13 - I will exalt you,my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jeremiah 10:10 – But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath.
Psalm 100:5 – For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Matthew 28:18 – Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Psalm 139:7-10 – Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 147:5 – Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.
Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
