Garden Valley Church is a place to come together with others to praise and worship our Lord and Savior. We welcome the whole family and strive to meet the needs of all individuals. Paul states in 1 Corinthians 12:12, “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.”
Our desire at Garden Valley is to get to know one another, building relationships with one another as each person of the church makes up the body of believers and each is unique and important to the body.
We are serious about God’s Word and strive to make His truths known to all people. We seek to grow closer to God through study of the Bible and prayer, and our desire is to live out God’s truths in our community and workplace.
We want to extend to you an invitation to come and join together with us as we praise and worship our Lord together each Sunday. You will find us to be a God-centered caring community of individuals who are excited about having the opportunity to extend to you the same love, care, and joy that our Lord and Savior offers to us.
You are always welcome!
Ugandan Kid’s Choir
We are excited to have the Ugandan Kid’s Choir at Garden Valley Church for our Sunday morning service on October 26, 2014! Please join us to support our brothers and sisters from Africa!
About the Choir
The choir consists of ten children from Uganda – five boys and five girls – ages 8-12, who perform traditional African singing, dancing, and drumming as well as some contemporary Christian songs (with an African “twist”). They bless audiences of all ages as they share the joy and hope they have found through Jesus Christ and child sponsorship through Childcare Worldwide. The choir’s mission is to raise awareness and engage individuals in sponsoring children in the developing world, who are living in poverty, providing them with an education as well as spiritual and ethical training, leading to a better future.
Who is Childcare Worldwide?
Our mission is to build a bridge between concerned people in the West and children in the developing world, to help meet their spiritual and physical needs through a ministry that emphasizes education and is based on the gospel of Jesus Christ. We work in Uganda, Kenya, Haiti, India, Peru, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the Philippines. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of financial accountability. Over $0.88 out of every dollar we receive goes to direct ministry expenses. Charity Navigator has given us its highest rating and we meet the standards of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability and Christian Service Charities.
“The Ugandan Kids Choir has been a great blessing to us because in seeing them our congregation takes note that maybe there’s more that I can do, maybe there’s something I could do that I haven’t thought about before.” -Felix Anderson, Pastor of Spiritual Formation Christ the King Community Church
